We found an article on Newswire.ca educating patients and staff alike about this new initiative that is working to reduce infections that are associated with health care facilities.
This initiative has registered nurses wearing buttons that encourage patients to ask them to clean their hands. It is a simple question that will encourage germ related conversations between patients and nurses. We love the ingenuity behind the buttons because it demonstrates how a simple question can garner dramatic results, improving health care. By simply requesting a health care professional to wash their hands, it will help prevent the spread of infections that are found within health care facilities.
