Spreading Christmas cheer

Sometimes it’s not all about receiving, but instead giving back.

On December 25, 2011, Perry Diebert, co-owner of CustomCare, learned how volunteering changes lives.

“I had a wonderful time, and to be honest, I can’t wait until next year,” says Mr. Diebert.

For the entire day, Mr. Diebert handed out warm socks filled with health care essentials to vulnerable Calgarians at Mustard Seed’s downtown location.

“Mustard Seed is a great organization, they really do make a difference for so many people,” says Mr. Diebert. “Helping people in need during a time of giving is a value that means a lot to me, and I’ll continue volunteering during Christmas as long as the need is there.”

This isn’t the first time Mr. Diebert gave a helping hand, benefiting those who have less than him.

“When our office was located downtown I would volunteer at Mustard Seed several times a month,” he says. “I have two passions in life: playing the drums and helping society’s vulnerable.”
